Approximately 670 ume trees, including red plum, small plum, white Kaga, and Bungo varieties, are planted in the mountains west of Seitō. From the observation deck atop the 458-step staircase, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Miyazaki cityscape, the Pacific Ocean, and Seitō. The Koryon Plum Festival is held every February.
