Opened in the late Edo period, this garden originally featured about 360 ume trees and was known as 'Shinume Yakusha'. Today, you can still see nearly 20 varieties of ume, including 'Tsukikage', 'Shirokaga', 'Michibe', and 'Kagoshima Beni', and an Ume Festival is held every year.
