A research garden run by Akatsuka Plant Garden to keep alive the craft of training weeping ume trees. About 200 fine trees, mainly the Kureha-shidare variety, are open to the public each year only while they bloom.
According to the official site, the 2026 opening ran from February 21 to March 16. During the light-up period the garden is also open in the evening.
