Weeping Ume Festival 2027

Suzuka Forest Garden is a research and cultivation farm dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional Japanese horticultural technique of training weeping ume (shidare-ume) trees (operated by the Akatsuka Botanical Garden Group). The garden is home to about 200 famous ume trees, including the oldest "Kureha-shidare" in Japan, which showcase the inherited skills of master craftsmen and a rich history. It is open to the public every year during the blooming season. Please enjoy the beauty of early spring in Japan, with large pink blossoms set against the stunning backdrop of the Suzuka Mountains.
