A famous spot for ume in Kiyota-ku, Sapporo, the plum grove features approximately 1,200 ume trees. Characteristic of Hokkaido, the blossoms are late, and the "Hiraoka Ume Festival" is typically held around Golden Week.
According to the City of Sapporo, the 2025 Ume Festival was held from April 26 to May 11.
