A two-day plum festival at the Aichi Prefectural Plant Center in Inazawa City. The 20th edition was held on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 9:30 to 16:00.
The center's plum variety garden has about 100 varieties of ume and is known as a valuable reference collection nationwide. The appeal is comparing the colours and shapes of the flowers of many varieties.
There is parking. By train, take the Meitetsu Bus Inazawa Chuo Line from Meitetsu Konomiya Station or JR Inazawa Station to "Yawase Kannon" and walk about 20 minutes; on the two festival days a free shuttle bus ran from Konomiya Station. Enquiries: Inazawa City Tourism Association (0587-22-1414).
