The plum festival in the plum grove of Omiya Daini Park in Saitama City; the 40th edition ran from February 14 to March 8, 2026. About 450 ume trees of some 40 varieties, such as red plums and Shirokaga, bloom here, and events are held mainly on weekends. Entry is free.
The annual "National Great Pottery Fair" is held in the car park next to the grove. In 2026 it started a week after the festival, running from February 21 to March 8, daily from 10:00 to 17:00 (until 15:00 on the last day). Weekends and holidays get crowded, so weekdays are recommended.
