A two-day plum festival at Ritsurin Garden, a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, centred on the North Plum Grove. In 2026 it was held on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8.
In 2026 there were sales of potted flowers (7th only) and a concert, and the shops in the garden offered festival treats. The ume in the garden start blooming around mid-January, so you can enjoy plum viewing outside the festival days as well. Garden admission is charged separately.
