The plum festival at Hanegi Park in Setagaya Ward; the 47th edition ran from February 7 to March 1, 2026 (10:00–16:00). Red and white ume bloom on the park's low hill, an easy plum-viewing spot to reach within Tokyo.
On weekends and holidays there were food stalls, and a plant and garden market, a local products fair and shops selling ume treats such as ume daifuku were also open. In 2026 there was a haiku class on February 8, and mochi-pounding and an outdoor matcha tea ceremony on February 22.
