Characteristics

The name comes from the slightly pointed tip of the fruit. Because it becomes a large fruit early, it is the first to be shipped among Fukui ume. According to NARO (National Agriculture and Food Research Organization) materials, it is a variety discovered in Fukui Prefecture, is self-compatible (has the property of setting fruit with its own pollen), and has a fruit weight of just under 30g.
